Emily Pearce, MA, LMFT Associate
She/Her | Adults, Couples, Families | Supervised by Susan Gonzales, LPC-S, LMFT-S
Hi There and Welcome!
Hello! My name is Emily Pearce, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, supervised by Susan Gonzales, LMFT-S, LPC-S. I love to help clients heal from their past and grow into the person they strive to become. Therapy with me will always be a collaborative effort – you are the leader of your own healing journey. I am simply the expert that helps guide you along in that process.
My specialty is working with neurodivergent couples and individuals. In my experience, couples that include at least one partner who is neurodivergent (i.e. Autism, ADHD, OCD, etc.) have an increased number of miscommunications, and tend to experience higher conflict arguments. This is simply due to how each person’s brain functions differently! As your therapist, I am dedicated to helping you understand your own unique communication style, love language, and so much more. Contrary to popular belief, neurodivergence does not mean “incorrect” or “messed up.” It simply means you have a different way of thinking. I believe that is one of the many things that makes life so beautiful and special. Additionally, I also have experience with adults who are dealing with grief, chronic pain, mood disorders, and trauma. I am also happy to offer faith- based counseling to those who request it.
As a therapist, I see myself as an encourager, mentor, advocate, and teacher. I always strive to be compassionate, open-minded, and nonjudgmental. All these parts come together in the therapeutic process to encourage my clients toward self-discovery, healing, and growth. The journey you are about to embark on is difficult, yet immensely gratifying. I would love to be the guide who assists you in reaching your unique goals.
Education & Training
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology – University of Texas, Austin

Outside the Office
I love going on any type of adventure, whether that be traveling, hiking, swimming, or simply stopping to smell the flowers! However, my favorite activity at home is to cuddle up with my four pet rabbits and enjoy reading a good book.
Favorite Quotes
“The human mind is a fearful instrument of adaptation, and in nothing is this more clearly shown than in its mysterious powers of resilience, self-protection, and self-healing.”
