Emily Pearce, MA, LMFT Associate
She/Her | Adults, Couples, Families | Supervised by Susan Gonzales, LPC-S, LMFT-S
Hi There and Welcome!
My name is Emily Pearce, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist- Associate, supervised by Susan Gonzales, LMFT-S, LPC-S. My passion is to help clients heal from their past and grow into the person they strive to become. Therapy with me will always be a collaborative effort – you are the leader of your own healing journey. I am simply the expert that helps guide you along in that process.
My therapeutic approach involves many theories including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), existential theory, and attachment theory. I always strive to be compassionate, open-minded, and nonjudgmental. As a therapist, I see myself as an encourager, mentor, advocate, and teacher. All these parts come together in the therapeutic process to push my clients toward self-discovery, healing, and growth.
This journey which you are embarking on is difficult, yet immensely gratifying. I would love to act as your guide who assists you in reaching your unique therapeutic goals.
Education & Training
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology – University of Texas, Austin
Master of Arts in Professional Counseling – Texas State University
Outside the Office
I love going on any type of adventure, whether that be traveling, hiking, swimming, or simply stopping to smell the flowers! However, my favorite activity at home is to cuddle up with my four pet rabbits and enjoy reading a good book.
Favorite Quotes
“The human mind is a fearful instrument of adaptation, and in nothing is this more clearly shown than in its mysterious powers of resilience, self-protection, and self-healing.”
